My name is Lindsey Delehanty but everyone calls me Zoe. My nickname actually derived from Lucio, because he couldn't pronounce Zo! I played on Rock-Run Lightning from the time I was 8 until I was 13 years old. My coach was always Lucio Aldana. He always pushed me to the best of my ability, and focused on perfecting not only the basics, skills, and mechanics of the game, but also my knowledge. He taught me how to play every position on the field, and this is something that got me very far for my soccer career. I started all four years on Guilford's Varsity soccer team and earned several awards my senior year. I earned basically a fullride to Ashford University for soccer. During my college signing I publicly thanked Lucio for the training that he gave me. Whether it was easy moves, difficult moves, different kicks, deadballs, reading the field, my shot, placement, corner kicks, speed, endurance, and most of all leadership, it was all taught by him. He made me the player that I am today, and that I always will be! I am so glad I took a chance with Rock-Run Lightning and had a coach as good and devoted as Lucio.
